Class Description:
Girls love to accessorize, so nothing could be more fitting for a lovely little lady in your life than creating a purse-shaped mini-album in her honor. We'll start with trapezoidal chipboard from Creative Imaginations and create hinges, magnetic flaps, a ribbon binding system and a sturdy wire/bead handle. Adding the Making Memories Funky Vintage Lizzie collection of patterned papers, flocked papers and transparent letters will give it just the bright trendy color palette it calls for, and then with the addition of Imaginisce flowers, Bazzill Bling cardstock, Basic Grey magnets, Quickutz clips and some brads, you'll have an album fit for a princess!
The album accordion folds for storage and can be carried by the handle, or you can display the album with any, all or none of the purses open. The possibilities are endless!
In addition to all the lovely products, you'll receive a lovely handout, a lovely color copy of Karen's project, and lovely templates for creating the purse flaps. Come on - you owe it to a special little girl to take this class! Wouldn't it be lovely?
Supplies you should bring to class are as follows:
Adhesive - student's choice - something that works well on chipboard
Fine line glue pen - this is helpful for the tips of the purse flaps
Glue Dots or Tacky Tape - something strong!
Trimmer
Scissors
Paper piercer (or push
pin)
Scoring tool and ruler
Needle nosed pliers (optional) - these can be helpful for pulling and spreading brads through chipboard
Craft knife - this can be helpful for removing the backing sheet from the transparent letters
All photos can be added later, but here are the sizes on Karen's project:
Three square 3.75x3.75 (9.5cm x 9.5cm) - top purse sections
Three vertical 4x4.75 (10cm x 12cm) - bottom purse sections - I printed my journaling right onto my digital photos using Photoshop. Alternately, you can use a journaling block and/or a smaller photo in these sections.
One 1.25x1.25 (3.2cm x 3.2 cm) that can be trimmed into a circle
